Is the Intel xeon X5660 compatible with ASUS P6T DELUXE V2 LGA

After doing some digging I found that they both run on the LGA 1366 socket, so theoretically they should be compatible, but I couldn't find any info on the support records about it supporting Xeon cpus.
 


Would that mean I'd need a mainstream 1366 socket cpu to be in there first? I dont have one on hand actually so that maybe a problem :/
 
Many companies won't list xeons even if they work because they didn't test them. Asus is even more stingy than others because they want you to buy their ws mobos which cost more. If you see people using xeons on that mobo on google, then it'll most likely work. Socket does not confirm compatibility. It's down to bios.
