Is the maximus viii hero a good mobo?

I have been reading various people complaining about sound problems among some other things. And the review on newegg are not very good.

Bad intial reviews are to be expected on new mobos, especially with the Z170, new socket, new CPUs, new DRAM (DDR4), and many going with a new OS Win10. Based on the previous Heros I grabbed one along with a 6600K and it's great, no problems, unlike many I always get the latest BIS and mobo drivers (throw the CD away). I'm just playing now but have run a variety of CPU coolers on it AIO and air), sets of DRAM (up through the current 32GB of 3200 Trident Z, numerous GPUs (up through XFire 290Xs and SI with Strix 980s), as mentioned no problems, Ocs well, great BIOS, runs cool....Can't ask for much more 😉
