Solution
The following chipsets are compatible with the 2400k. This is an older CPU and they do not makes these boards anymore so you will need to look on the second hand market. I would try ebay.

Intel B65 Express Intel Q65 Express
Intel B75 Express Intel Q67 Express
Intel C206 Intel Q75 Express
Intel C216 Intel Q77 Express
Intel H61 Express Intel Z68 Express
Intel H67 Express Intel Z75 Express
Intel H77 Express Intel Z77 Express
Intel P67 Express

I would look for the H61, H67, or Z68. The Z68 mobo will be your best option as it supports overclocking and you have an unlocked chip. But the Z68 will be more expensive.

Here is an H67 board that is not a bad price and will work with your CPU. Shop around, you may find them...

[quotemsg=20755831,0,2380071]No. You will need an Intel board for that CPU as the board you selected is an AMD board.

What is the model of the CPU and I will tell you what boards are compatible.[/quotemsg]
it is an intel core i5

is the MSI Intel Skylake H110 LGA 1151 good? As you can see this is a budget build

For example, if you have the i5 6500, then the MSI H110 LGA 1151 board will be perfect.

But if you have the i5 4690, then it wont work on that board. Or if you have the i5 7500, then it will work on the MSI H110 board, if the board has the correct bios revision. I know, Intel makes it really complicated, but that is what we are here for.

[quotemsg=20756101,0,2380071]I need to know what generation i5. Is is a i5 8600k, i5 7500, i5 6500, i5 4690, etc.

There are a lot of generation of i5's. Each generation is only compatible with certain chipsets and motherboards. The generation should be on the IHS or on the box if you have it.[/quotemsg]
