I just now updated my Geforce Game Ready Driver to version 378.49 and when I was asked to restart my PC, my monitors were unable to detect an output. So then I had to manually turn off and turn on my PC and when it booted up, I was presented with this screen: http://i.imgur.com/I2X7GTl.jpg

After that I pressed F1 to get into my bios and load my default optimized settings my computer was able to boot into the desktop just fine. Has this new 378.49 Geforce Driver made my OC unstable? Has anyone else had this problem? My OC had my i7 6700k overclocked to 4.6Ghz and my ram overclocked to 3200Mhz.

Here are my PC specs if it helps: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/BNWilliams007/saved/Yg2CmG

Thank you for your time.

Oh oops. Yes I have a gtx 1080, although my computer just now recently gave me Bsod when it was booting up and said that it had to load up a restore point so I'm back at the Geforce 376.33 driver again anyway on my motherboard's default settings. This is getting ridiculous, I think I'm going to have to try to call/email Nvidia about my problem, otherwise, I guess that I just won't be able to use my OC profile anymore. :(

That would be reasonable. Please don't forget to mention the pain of us average Joes and our inferior 860m's ;)

Ok so I think my problem may actually be my motherboard BIOS. Prior to the Geforce 378.49 update, I also updated my bios. And since I'm still having my OC issues after rolling back to Geforce 376.33 I think it's safe to say that my bios is the culprit. However after downloading the older bios driver from the ASUS website, whenever I try to downgrade to the previous bios version my bios will give me an error saying "Selected file is not a proper BIOS!", has anyone else ever had this problem before?

I mentioned you guys in an email to an Nvidia rep, he hasn't responded back to me yet though. ^^;

Edit: Hmm, under further expection, it seems that my CPU overclock is stable, but when I decide to overclock my RAM, I run into boot-up issues. Has anyone here ever had anything similar happen to them?

Ok so i have same problem as you guys too since two days ago when i update to that god forsaken version with Geforce Experience,,have an Intel HD graphics 4600 + Nvidia Geforce 860M . So i take my gaming laptop to the repaired shop, they check it for a day and said everything was fine, they didnt detect any error in my system .hardware,windows,.... at all so they only cleaning software for my lap. I test it for a while, bring it home, everythings fine, till i update the driver again, first it was something about graphics driver stopped responding and has restored, then it freeze, then i have many more freeze, blue screen with error just like you guys, then the laptop said that sth wrong with my windows, blah blah, didnt even have chance to test any games, then i choose to "refresh PC" -which delete alot of apps, include the Geforce Experience and the driver update, now its fine-luckily i have stopped install the driver by the time im typing and seeing this topic, i mean im so desperate and frustrated, because my laptop was working so fine, and one day it gone nuts, and no one can figure out what's wrong with it, now i finally could chilled a little.

i will try to send an email to geforce and tell them about this, i really think you guys should done the same, since only 860M user like us get such problem, Nvidia may ignore us.

So it turns out that the Geforce 378.49 driver wasn't the issue nor was my motherboard. After speaking to Nvidia and Asus reps it turns out that my problem all along was my RAM being clocked too high. Even though it is labeled for 3200MHz, I guess the stability has dropped. I now have it set to 3000MHz and everything seems to be working alright. Thank you everyone for all of your feedback these past few weeks. :)

For me the problem wasn't the driver but the newest version of Windows 10. Rolled back to the previous build and the newer nvidia drivers have played nice for over half a year now.
