Hi guys! I am looking to upgrade my GPU and those two are my main target. The difference of cost is about 100$ between them. The MSI Ventus 2070 GP is cheaper than the Gigabyte Windforce 3X OC 2070 Super.

Main purpose of this machine: Gaming, Office and maybe, if the time allows it Casual Streaming.
The rest of the components will be:
CPU: Ryzen 5 3600/3600X -> Will buy it along the GPU.
RAM: 16 Gb @ 3000MHz in dual channel
MOBO: MSI Mortar or Tomahawk B450
PSU: nJoy Woden 750w 80+ Gold
SSD: 2xKingston UV400 120Gb, 1x Patriot Burst 480Gb
HDD: 1x old Seagate 500Gb

I was thinking that the 2060s is not that far from the first gen of 2070 and is a bit cheaper, maybe 30-50 $ on a sale.
  • Is it worth buying the 2070s against the 2070 if the price difference is around 100$?
  • What about the 2070 againt the 2060 super if the price favors the 2060s by 30$?

Solution
Is it worth buying the 2070s against the 2070 if the price difference is around 100$?
Likely not: Ryzen 3600: 2070 VS 2070 Super, at low and ultra settings, almost 50 games benchmarked
3-6% difference at 1080p, 3-7% at 1440p.

What about the 2070 againt the 2060 super if the price favors the 2060s by 30$?
Ryzen 3600: 2060 Super VS 2070
The exact same performance gap as the 2070 VS 2070 super. I think 2060 Super wins here.

CPU: Ryzen 5 3600/3600X -> Will buy it along the GPU.
Unless the 3600X goes on sale or something, it's not worth the 30USD price premium I'm seeing from some retailers.

PSU: nJoy Woden 750w 80+ Gold
I don't know how reliable that psu is. All I could find...

It's about 5-10% more FPS for $100. Only you know if it's worth it to you.

Honestly, given that awful power supply, I'd much rather put $100 into that. nJoy is a Romanian company that has some really dodgy PSUs. I see they've at least advanced from publishing fake 80 Plus certifications to simply implying they have 80 Plus certification by claiming that their power supplies "meet" 80 Plus specifications.

I don't know how reliable that psu is. All I could find was that it's a Romanian brand, and this: http://www.jonnyguru.com/forums/archive/index.php/t-15880.html
