Is the steam client down?

I've been trying to log into the steam client since Tuesday, but it cant find my account. I try to reset my password, but i don't get an email from steam to reset it. I also noticed that the forums were down as well. I read that the steam forums were hacked, and are down for maintenance. But is the steam client being affected too?

I use steam on two computers. I'm worried that steam guard thought i was getting hacked, and locked my account.

Can anyone shed some light on this?

I have been able to get into the Steam client. Was in it as recently as 10 hours ago. But the forums are down and have been for a few days. Their forums were hacked by someone who placed ads for a video game cheat (hacks) website on their forum pages. I'm at work right now so I can't get to any sites to post a link, but if you search you should find something on it.
