Hello everyone, i am going to buy a prebuilt pc from a local store with A xigmatek X-POWER 600W and i was wondering whether this psu is going to cause any issues for the pc
PC specs:
Cpu: Ryzen 3 3200g quad-core
Ram: HyperX fury 8gb ddr4 2666mhz
Motherboard: Asus prime a320
Gpu: msi nvidia gtx 1650 ventus
Psu Xigmatek X-power 600w
Storage: WD Green 1tb 7200rpm

judging by the reviews, its pretty bad man not gonna lie.It is poorly made with a 80 certification strapped on it.I would probably go for a 500W+ psu with 80%+ certification from a trusted and well reviewed brand.Judging by the specs i would go for something like this:https://www.corsair.com/us/en/Categ...Supply-Units/cx-series-config/p/CP-9020121-NA

Im sorry if this is to expensive for you but its better to be safe than sorry.
You can sell you xigmatek psu and add some money for the corsair one.

The only one worth considering is the SeaSonic 620w, and even that is rather dated.

It would happily power your system, but if there are other options, you may want to look elsewhere.

CX550 is good ofc, but if you can't find it, kinda hard to buy it. :)

Can you find EVGA? What units are available?

thermaltake, and cooler master are no joke either. They are reliable and safe and not so expensive
It depends wildly on the model. In general, no.

Thermaltake Litepower and Thermaltake SMART/Smart BX1 should be avoided.
CoolerMaster MWE white+bronze and MasterWatt Lite should be avoided.
Several other models from both companies should be avoided.

The SeaSonic S12ii/M12ii are very old and group regulated but at least use reliable components inside, which is at least a step above most CM/TT units.

I'll try to list all the units i could find in my city that could fit in my budget
Huntkey Gs550
Thermaltake Tr2 600w
Gigabyte PB500 80 Plus bronze
Thermaltake Litepower 650W gen2
Seasonic S12II 620W

and yes i have found an evga psu
EVGA 500W ATX POWER SUPPLY 80+ White,

I see a review for the Hunntkey dating back to 2008. A no-name from 2008, ill pass.
Thermaltake TR2 are poor quality all around.
Didn't quickly find a review of the Gigabyte, but on a forum post I saw it is "double forward and no dc-dc" so not gr8. Not sure how it stacks up.
Thermaltake Litepower is bad.
SeaSonic is very old but was very good back then.
EVGA W1 600w are pretty low quality and not good, granted better than many of these models.

I would wait for what others say

For me, id narrow it down to the EVGA, Gigabyte, or SeaSonic.

i could stretch my budget a little bit and get a Seasonic CORE GM 650w 80+ Gold or Aerocool lux Rgb 750w

But whats wrong with Thermaltake Smart? I use the White Series 80+ in builds all the time. The 430w runs an i7 with rx570, np.

I’ve purchase the 430w, 600w and 700w versions several times, no issues what so ever. Only had one that was received smashed in the box, (box was fine, super odd it past inspections) but amazon shipped me out a new one in A couple of days. I will continue to buy them.

It's a cheap unit. You get what you pay for.

It uses cheap quality components in general and it's an old group regulated platform. It will not handle high power draw components well.

I have used cheap PSUs as well. There is a time and place for them. I wouldn't "recommend" them in general.
