I am building a computer, and I was thinking about doing something like this:

Motherboard: LGA 1151 H110
Processor: Intel Pentium G4560
Graphic card: AMD R7 360
Memory RAM: 8gb DDR4

But then I found out about Intel Optane, and I read that it only works with 7th generation Processor. So I googled if there's a 7th genaration Pentium G4560 and I found it for sale. I don't know if it's really a 7th genaration Pentium or a scam, because I've been told in the past that a 7th generation pentium doesn't exist. So does it exist? And will it work with this Motherboard? Or do I have to buy a new one?

Solution
Pentium G4560 is 7th-gen Kaby Lake.

One thing is the the H110 chipset must get a BIOS update in order to be compatible with 7th-gen. So, it would be better if you got a B250 chipset motherboard to ensure out of the box compatibility.

Another thing is the R7 360 is old. I would suggest gettinga current-gen GPU. (RX 560, GTX 1050, etc.)

Finally, there are 8th-gen Pentiums w/ Hyper-Threading.

I know the R7 360 is old but I already have an unused one and I don't have the money to buy another one, so maybe I'll upgrade it in the future.

What is Hyper-Threading?

Well if you already have the R7 360 then use it. Nothign wrong with that.

Hyper-Threading give one processing core 2 threads to process code instead of just one. It increases core peformance by about 30%. So a dual-core w/ hyper-threading has 2 physical cores and 4 logical cores. Much better than a simple dual-core without hyper-threading.

Some Pentiums do not have hyper-threading. So get one that does have it.

Check https://ark.intel.com/products/129951/Intel-Pentium-Gold-G5400-Processor-4M-Cache-3_70-GHz

See under performance it says

# of Cores
2
# of Threads
4

you want a processor with at least 4 threads for today's gaming.

AMD has a similar technology called SMT (Simultaneous Multi-Threading). The Ryzen 3 1300X does not have SMT, while the Ryzen 5 1400 does have SMT. Both are quad-core except the 1400 has 8 threads instead of just 4.
