Is there a difference between a audio y splitter and a video y splitter?

(NOT SURE WHERE TO PUT THIS) Is there a difference between a audio y splitter and a video y splitter? I need 3 Y splitters (RCA Male to RCA Female) so I can record my game play with a camera! For RCA cables there is zero difference, the splitter for the Red/White cables will work just as well on the Yellow cable.
