I threw together a nice little pc a few months back and have been struggling to decide if I should actually go through and buy the parts.

Parts List:

-Mobo -Asus Rampage V Deluxe
-Ram -Vengeance LPX C16 Black (4x4)
-CPU -Intel Core i7-5960x
-GPU -SLI Gigabyte 970's
-PSU -Cooler Master Silent Pro Gold 1200w
-Case -Azza Genesis 9000 (White)

My other Option is to just downgrade to a lower chipset and just save myself some money, Ive been stuggling with the question because I want the higher end one but looking at the gamming market, When am I ever going to need 8Cores and DDR4 Ram?

Solution
for high end gaming ALL you'll need is i5-4690k and the Z97-A. No point in getting those fancy Haswell-Es, same with DDR4 RAM, when prices falls in couple years or so,they might become the standard, this is not yet the time.

lol you are supposed to buy a PC that meets you're needs not slam dunk 3.5 k on parts that will be way cheaper in 4 years you have to think of diminishing returns

Alright Ive decided to use my already existing parts (80 + 120 GB SSD) (CD Drive) (RAM 2X4) (9800GTX SLI), and Ive upgraded with the ASRock Z97 Extreme6 mobo, EVGA SuperNOVA 1300w (its 50% off localy), and I will later add the new GPU's once my old ones die out completly :)
