No, not really.

Definitely not if gaming at 4k 60Hz, your 6700k is more than enough and a 8700k will give no benefit.

not for 4k gaming. in 4k gaming your gpu is the bottleneck, spend all that $$ on the gpu.

No especially if you don't overclock, I would consider getting some cooling and overclocking your current CPU. The price for the new coffe lake is way to high and you will need a new motherboard. Not worth it.

At that point your GPU will be doing all the work. Your 6700k will be fine with that resolution as long as your GPU is. Sure a 8700k will be better but a better GPU will give you the most performance.

The 6700k is great for very high fps gaming, at 4k you are only aiming for 60fps. You have noting to worry about, that CPU is solid.
