Is there a special monitor inside a Mr. Do?

Just curious. I'm repairing a Mr. Do and am wondering if there is a
special monitor in there. I have a very weird chassis installed and it
doesn't look right. Will G07's and WG monitors work in this machine?

John, I can tell you I ran one on a 25" k7000 monitor...

I have one running on a WG. Mr. Do! gives negative syncs IIRC.

Do you have to do anything special to make it run? Do you have to play
with the sync wires?

I don't believe so. I do remember trying to hook it up to pos sync, and
the screen was tearing quite a bit. Moved it to neg sync, adjusted the
vert hold, and wham-o! I don't have them tied together or anything.
White is vert sync, black is horiz sync, purple is ground.

I *think* the stock monitors on dedicated Do's were different, 20" and by
odd-ball company IIRC. Anyone with more detail on the maker?? name escapes
me. I also remeber the chassis sitting on a shelf and not in a frame with
the tube, very odd set up.

Dedicated Mr Do monitors are made by Toei and are junk, pretty much good for
the dumpster.

If it's an original factory shipped one (rare) then yes they had different
monitors. Mr.Do was mainly a conversion so you never know what you will find
in most cabinets. Standard negative composite sync so will work on WG and
EH fine.
