Is it possible to read from Windows what part number my Intel Core i7 2600K processor has?
I read on the Internet that this processor may have the following part numbers:
CM8062300833908 is an OEM / tray microprocessor
CM8062300833906 is an OEM / tray microprocessor
BX80623I72600K is a boxed processor with fan and heatsink (English version)
BXC80623I72600K is a boxed processor with fan and heatsink (Chinese version)
From this it follows that my processor part number is BX80623I72600K. But is there any Windows program that can read this?

An Intel employee on the Intel forum replied that Intel does not have such a product, but there may be programs from other manufacturers.

All those different processors' part numbers might vary only according to what sale pipelines they go to, mainly OEM vs. boxed....the CPU is still just an 'i7-2600K' for example....

I highly doubt the silicon of CPU batches is coded/sorted to 'remember'/discriminate against such things as to whether it was a retail box or OEM part...
