I have an old HP Pavilion g4 laptop, which has no USB 3.0 ports but has a PCIE card reader slot which is of no use to me. I have researched quite a bit on possibilty adding USB 3.0 slots, first I tried finding a way to replace my DVD drive but could not find any such adaptors(slimline SATA to USB 3.0), next I tried replacing wifi adaptor through a mini PCIE to USB 3.0(could not find any adaptor of size that will fit in place of wifi adaptor), and now I am wondering if there's a way to use the unnecessary PCIE card reader(SDHC,etc) slot for the purpose .
I have no problem tinkering slightly with my laptop outer case to make it work.
As you may have noticed english isnt my first language and this is my first time in any forum, so if anything is not clear you can ask me.
Any help will be highly appreciated. Thanks
