Hello,

I bought Patriot Viper Xtreme Series Division 2 (PXD38G1600LLK 2x4GB).

Unluckly they work only well on 1333mhz 9-9-9 settings (default settings)

On XMP settings (1600mhz 8-9-8) guaranteed by producer I have random blue screens. On normal settings I don't have blue screens - probably because most time only one RAM is used. I'd like to add that my mainboard is supported by that RAMs according to their website perfectly.

On default settings memtest: over 250 errors after 100% check
On XMP settings memtest: over 700 errors after only 25% check...

I wanted to replace them, however Patriot wants me to send RAM to them. Delivery cost from my country costs about 30$ + I won't be able to use computer for about 1-2 weeks which would cost much much more. Which means that warranty like that is only on a paper.

I thought I would need to send only serial number / screenshot of some kind of benchmark tool (memtest) etc. as a proof.

Is there any company that I can buy RAM from that in case of invalid RAM will allow me to replace them sending serial number / screenshot etc.? Is there any company that trust people? I can't have downtime on my computer for longer than 1 day. In order to replace RAM i would need to have special RAM incase of one not working which is silly.

Anybody have experience with RAM replacement where it went 'smoothly\?

Best regards

None that I know of.

All resellers will want you to ship the faulty / incompatible modules back to them for replacement / refund.
this is the industry standard as its a back to base warranty.

What you are after is a computer with SLA. you will only get this in the big brands (DELL, HP, IBM & ETC) where in addition to the normal back to base 12month warranty you can purchase and extended 3 year warranty and choose to either have Next business day, 3 hour or 1 hours response time.

these are only provided with business grade computers & servers where uptime is critical to the business. so the cost of the extra warranty ($200 - $1000) is way cheaper than having that computer / server not working.
