Im stuck between a few monitors but some of the monitors are 5ms. i know 2ms is better but by how much anything noticeable, im coming from a 1280 x 1024 with a 16ms response time monitor, I play FPS games like BF4, COD etc so will i see a noticeable difference between the 2? I was also wondering who made the best monitors to game on, i heard it was ASUS so i have been looking into them but if there is different i would like to know?

Solution
It's a pretty big difference moving from a 16ms monitor, but not so much between 2 and 5, I don't know what your budget is, but if you can afford one, BenQ monitors are the MLG monitor of choice, and owning one myself, I absolutely love them. If you're big into tweitch based games, getting a 120Hz monitor is a good idea too, it will give you a noticable advantage in games.

BenQ XL2420T This is what I would recommend, although for 8 dollars more you could get the 2720T, which is what I have. Expensive, but worth it.

for High Resolution monitor with High refresh rate do not forget about screen tearing & motion blur,i dont know if V SYNC will be a good solution for that .

I'm going to ask again, because a lot of people are recommending a "faster" 60Hz display without explanation. See 3rd,4th or 5th post in this thread.

How is a "FASTER" (5ms, 2ms, 0.0000000001ms) response time monitor at 60Hz any better than a 16ms response time 60Hz monitor? At 60Hz you are getting 60 frames per second or 1 frame every 16.6 ms, so no matter that response time of 1ms, you are still waiting 16.6 ms for the next frame. Same thing goes for anything "faster" than 8.3 ms @ 120Hz. I must be missing something. Anyone?

I do kinda want the upgrade now running a 17inch square not HD monitor to game on, i might got for this one right here

Please explain further. You mean the pixels are changing colors every 5ms? That would result in a refresh rate of 200Hz!

Yeah, I think you should, but go with the 170 or 190 BenQ, not much more than what you're looking at and IMO a much better monitor. If you have to look at it for years you may as well like it right?

Out of these three which would you choose, you seem like you know what is best.

this has nice pixel pitch

Im leaning toward this one tell me what you think though

In terms of monitor screen quality, the two 23" are pretty much the same. I would recommend either of those if you want to buy right now. The sweet spot for most gamers and 1920x1080 is a 24" monitor, so a 23" is a better choice.

Im fine with a 21.5 though, but spec wise which one?

I'm pretty sure the two 23" monitors are using the same panels and probably have some minor aesthetic differences. I would still go 23 vs a 21.5, even if they had the exact same specs.

Well im pretty sure i know which one im going to pick, and what about a IPS panel one i found one in my price range on sale
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824236205 would it be any better, gaming wise?
Btw, i want to thank you so much for taking your time to help me out, like thank you, really.

No problem, glad to help. IPS Panels give better colors, but the aren't as good for gaming because they don't refresh as fast, which can lead to ghosting in some cases.
