i recently bought a gaming laptop and its an i7 (2.4 ghz boosts to 3.1 ghz) it has 4 threads and 2 cores but i really want atleast a quad core

will this be okay for gaming without being a quad core if i cant replace

keep in mind it is a LAPTOP

That CPU will be fine for low to medium gaming. Don't expect to play games on Ultra settings.
