Is there any way to identify if the GPU match the box it came into ?

Sup guys , I'm thinking about buying a used GTX 970 G1 GAMING but i have some doubts.
Is there any way to identify if the GPU match the box it come into ?
Like a serial number both in the GPU and the boxe or something like that ?

The GPU might have a sticker like this at the back of the card

If so, See if it matches up with the serial code on the box that came with it.
