Hello. i recently updated my keyboard driver and i cant enable backlit keyboard with the special key i am on a Hp 15 Notebook pc, and i need help is there a way to enable it through cmd prompt? thanks.

Hi, that would depend solely on the HP driver for the keyboard.

I looked up HP backlit / illuminated keyboards and it seems that some keyboards have a "..." key to turn it on/off and others use F5 or F12 (try them all). I'm assuming those keys won't work for you.

It's unlikely that HP would support any type of command prompt commands for the keyboard backlighting. I searched and found nothing.

Why did you update the driver? Was you having other issues with it? If not, then you should roll back the driver to the version you was previously using (if it worked correctly).

You should also write to HP and let them know that it's not working. Tell them which PC you have and which version of the keyboard driver you are using. They may be able to help.
