I do a lot of CAD and video rendering.

Worth the money to upgrade graphics cards & to what?

ROG Crosshair V Formula-z MOBO

AMD FX-8370 8-core Black Edition CPU

CoolMaster 1000W RS-A00-EMBA PSU

ASUS PB278Q 2560 X 1440

2 XFX Radeon HD 6950 in Crossfire

I use all Adobe, Reallusion, Maya, + others. Looking for best graphics for my build and use.
Thanks

Important to note that eventually the 1080 ti will come out, and probably be almost on par with the titan XP. If you're not in a huge hurry, then I'd wait for it

The thing with PC hardware is, that new and better parts are released frequently.
It's easy to say: "wait some more when better part get's released". And when that part eventually get's released, there have been made another announcement that even a better part is coming out. So, wait some more to get that even better part. And that circle goes on and on.
In the end, you can wait for forever and you still doesn't have the needed part.
It's pointless to wait for the best part. Better get the currently available part and live on.

Yes, I know what you mean. I do not want the expense of a new MOBO, CPU, PSU, etc. I am trying to just upgrade my weakest link; I think is the PSU. The AMD FX-8370 8-core Black Edition CPU and the ROG Crosshair V Formula-z MOBO seem to be a good match. Will the Pascal or the 1080 work better than the HD 7990 or the R9 Furry X as far as the software they will need to run.

OOPS!!! Chang question:
