You know, theres this sorta uncanny worry about bettleneck and all. I say, it doesn't matter, this match is perfectly fine. There is bottleneck in every system, else you'd get infinite FPS, what there is is diminishing returns... everything depends on how much ur willing to spend.
The 9600k and 1080Ti are a good pairing but if running 1080p then in a few cpu heavy games the cpu could be a limiting factor before the the gpu maxes out.

That's not how cpu bottlenecks work, its the opposite. The higher the resolution the lower the fps the gpu produces, the lower the fps the less load on the cpu. At 1440p or higher there is less chance of a bottleneck.
