Is there performance difference between stock 1333 and underclocked 1600?

Not really important question, however I've been wondering for a while if memory that was designed to run at 1333MHz has exactly same performance as memory designed to run at 1600MHz, but clocked at 1333(e.g. motherboard doesn't support more), considering that they are same model -except for the clock speed- like Kingston HyperX Blu.

They would run equally in performance.

If both have the same base timings i.e. 1600 9-9-9-24 and and 1333 9-9-9-24 and you run them at 1333 9-9-9-24 then yes performance is about equal, however if the sticks are native 1600 9-9-9-24, the if dropping them to 1333, you should be able to run them at 8-8-8-22 or so which would be better performance wise with the tighter timings
