Is there really a conflict using Samsung SSD's with AMD chipsets?

I'm doing a small build and was planning to use a Samsung SSD because of their reputation for reliability and real speed. Now I'm hearing there will be conflicts between the 840 EVO I wanted and the AMD chips in the MSI 880GMS board I have. Does anyone have information to support or deny this?

The conflict is with the Samsung Magician software, not the SSD. The software is not compatible with AMD drivers.

So if you buy the 840 EVO it will work just fine in your system; it's just that you might not be able to enable all of the features once you install Samsung Magician.

Is there a recommended migration software to use if Samsung Magician doesn't play well with AMD? I would like to clone my Samsung 500 SSD (evo, not pro) before I install it. There is some free cloning software, but if I need to pay, I would rather pay and have it done correctly compared to spending all afternoon trying to sort out problems from free software.
