Is this 970 good

Solution
the only problem with a 970 is itsn't 4GB its really 3.5 GB card. if you want a solid upgrade that will future proof i will get a 980 in four months of so because 980 TI is coming out soon. but won't get 980TI unless your looking for a card you don't need to upgrade for 4 or so years to get ultra setting above 100 FPS.

pretty much a 980TI is a titan X but less ram. if your 1080P gaming than a 980. but want a best and fully soild GPU for many years ahead than a 980TI benchmarks of titan X show 190FPS high 170 avg 140 low at 1440P on BF4. if you get a 980TI and doing 1080p or a 1440P i would get a 980TI if you have a money so you don't have to upgrade for many years ahead. but if you want a cheap way than get a 980. a 970 is okay but...
it should be quieter and while that cooling will not improve performance (performance comes from the chip not the cooler), it will allow the card to sustain and hit higher boost clocks, and will really help when you try to overclock. So if you are willing to spend that amount it looks like a good card.
