Hey guys

With 4790k at 4.5ghz and 1080ti , ac origins @1440p runs around 80fps high and 70 fps ultra but gpu usage only 70 to 80% . But CPU usage above 93% always .temps mid 60s .Which makes me wondering, either rysen 2600 nor 8600k will be a good buy for it . Better i should consider 8700k at last . Your opinions plz ...

The 4790K offers very close to the same frame rates at 4.5 GHz as the 7700K did/does; just because the GPU is not yet maxed at 1440P out does not mean your current CPU is yet inadequate...

Are you happy with frame rates? If the answer is generally yes, do not let an arbitrary number or obsession over CPU/GPU usage ratio and bottlenecking terms (or random internet postings about the afformentioned) influence you into buying a new CPU, MB, and RAM to gain but a mere 2 or 3 fps at 1440P...

i tested few games, avg im getting 80fps at ultra/high . In few games ,the cpu usage is above 90% . Its not a necessary upgrade . Im buildig a new pc . So assembling a new rig

1440P is 85-90% GPU limited....; a new rig might only get you 2-3 more fps, about the same as upgrading from a 7700K to an 87000K...; it's faster, but, returns are diminishing quickly when you have 'enough' CPU, and even more so at 1440P, but, it's your money. If you've convinced yourself you need a new CPU/MB/RAM, enjoy, Sir....

(i could understand a bit more if you had on older i5, but it was my understanding that the i7-4790K clocsely rivaled the 7700K when overclocked....; if that is true, i'd examine the 8700K vs. 7700K comparisons to determine what gains you might (or might not) get...

okay thx
