Hi guys, my old computer finally died after 10-15 years.

I use it mostly for work, internet surfing, Battlefield 3/4, GTAV, XPlane11.

I don't need the greatest gaming pc, but I do want something that will last. Here is my list. Is this overkill? Can I go cheaper for my needs? Should I downgrade the CPU?

I currently have the Gigabyte rtx 3070 and the Corsair ms850x PSU.

Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated. I hope to have a system I don't have to touch for another 8-10 years.

My list: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/QGpGzf

No idea how old your RTX 3070 is but if there was ever a time to sell it on ebay or to a friend this might be that time.

Can someone help me to finalize a tri 360mm cooler under $200? I was going to go with the Phanteks Glacier One, but they are back ordered probably forever. So, the best cooler under $200, ARGB, nice high RPMs 2200+ (I don't care about noise level), but keeps it cool and efficient. Keep in mind it has to be compatible with the LGA 1700 Socket size.

Is it seriously impossible for you to post normal PCPP code like everybody else? Jebus. You realize it would be to your advantage to do that since it's so much cleaner and easier to swallow.
If you look at that build I posted you would realize it's impossible to use PCPP seeing how some of those links go to tech websites. Anyways I was posting builds on here before PCPP was a thing. Obviously that was before 2014.

I personally use PCPP, however, often times you can find deals that are individually better than the PCPP price, or is available but not shown on PCPP. @Why_Me you do you bro, I personally believe the way you do it is more effective and personalized, I am just lazy. Before PCPP, this was the way of things.

My suggestion for the use case at hand would be something like this;

PCPartPicker Part List

CPU: Intel Core i7-13700K 3.4 GHz 16-Core Processor ($427.99 @ Amazon)
CPU Cooler: ARCTIC Liquid Freezer II 360 56.3 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler ($131.88 @ Amazon)
Motherboard: MSI PRO Z790-P WIFI ATX LGA1700 Motherboard ($239.99 @ B&H)
Memory: G.Skill Trident Z 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-6400 CL32 Memory ($199.99 @ Amazon)
Storage: Western Digital Black SN850X w/Heatsink 2 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 4.0 X4 NVME Solid State Drive ($199.99 @ Newegg)
Video Card: Gigabyte GAMING OC Rev 2.0 GeForce RTX 3070 LHR 8 GB Video Card (Purchased For $0.00)
Case: Phanteks Eclipse G360A ATX Mid Tower Case ($89.99 @ Newegg)
Power Supply: Corsair RM850x (2021) 850 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply (Purchased For $0.00)
Total: $1289.83

Whatever. It's ridiculous though to sling posts in every thread that's even remotely related to a potential build that have to take up half a page. It's totally not necessary when a post like the one above this one is 100% suitable unless the OP asks specific questions requiring links to more than just the parts or of course adding links if you have them for retail locations where PCPP isn't or doesn't get it right and it's cheaper. Then again, you can very easily ADD custom parts on your build at PCPP and customize both the price and the link to it's location, so again, there really isn't any reason for a post that's just outlining a build to take up a whole damn page. It's really not helpful to anybody especially the OP. But yeah, you do you I guess. I have no problem with that, seriously, I just wish you'd do it a little smaller.

So my links aren't helpful eh. That's the first time I've read that and I've been posting builds on here and a few other tech sites for awhile now.

Alright, let's get back to the topic. Thank you everyone for responding in the way you like to respond. I find them all helpful no matter how it's formatted and I am grateful.

So far the Corsair H150i seems to be the best cooler with 2400rpm fans. That's crazy. It's also a really good price and available now. However, I do have to buy a custom LGA 1700 bracket from Corsair.

Corsair told me that they have a lot of new products about to be released. They don't know when, but I am wondering if I should wait a few more weeks to see what pops up, but then again I don't need the latest and greatest for $400. Plus, the old stock dries up fast and no longer able to get. So that Corsair is looking like the right direction, thank you for posting that. I initially overlooked it since it said not compatible with lga1700, but now see that I can get the adapter. That's cool.

Thanks for putting together all the part and your personal favorites. Sometimes I really like to stick with a certain brand and love the interface such as the ASUS bios platform. It's so good and easy. I have also been using G. Skill for decades with 100% success rate and love the performance and style.

So thank you guys for taking the time to help. Any last comments before I pull the trigger?

Nothing other than these were released today. Most if not all of them are listed on Newegg.

Hey maybe a dumb question, but in the past I have always used a CD to install windows. My new case doesn't allow for a CD rom to be installed. How are we installing indows on a fresh install these days?

So, I now need help with finding the right case for my build. The Phanteks case I had listed is good, but it is back ordered and I am looking to see if there is something better.

What do you guys think of those aquarium style cased where is glass front and side and the intake fans or on the back side of the case?

Also, this debate has gone around and around, but I want to put my AIO RAD on the front hopefully with the hoses at the bottom coming up to the CPU. And I will be using the 360mm 3 fan style.

Any suggestions?

A top mounted 360 would look sharp.

Okay, for ram here is what I am seeing and going after.

Corsair 6400 DDR5 Vengeance for $204

or

Corsair 6200 DDR5 Dominator for $240

Is there a bonus/benefit for going with the Dominator for $40 more?
