Thank you! I suppose that as long as we're aware of our own...slight megalomania, it's not such a bad thing.

Actually, I'd argue that OP IS the winner here. Compare both builds to what he started with. Competition cleanses imperfections.

I had the same budget in my thread. I came to this conclusion here, with the help of many capable forum members:

I decided on this build for two reasons. One, I get an Ivy Bridge quad core CPU that I can BCLK about 400 mHz without raising voltages, configured in BIOS (or so I was told by Sakkura HERE) and remaining stable at that.

Second, I utilize the Sapphire HD 7870 gHz Edition graphics which, in my opinion, is an extremely capable card, all the while staying very close to my original budget of coming in under $750.

Some other notes, I chose an affordable Mobo that keeps a few of the goodies of a Z77 Mobo, such as USB 3.0 headers and OC ability, but gives up SRT/SSD caching. A give and take that I'm willing to concede. The case comes supplied with 2 fans and with the addition of a 3rd 120mm Antec fan, since we're not doing anything major with the CPU, I thought we would be able to keep CPU temp under control. More fans can be added to the case, if needed.

I will also add that I'm in the process of procuring my parts so I can't comment on performance at the moment, but I hope to be able to comment soon (so long my first build doesn't result in catastrophic disaster).
