Hi
I am planning to build my first gaming rig
And since i am not a expert at computers
I thought it would be a good idea to ask you guys for some advice
The specs:
Be quiet! System Power 7 500W
Intel Core i5 4690K Boxed
Kingston HyperX Fury Black 16GB DDR3-1866 CL10 kit
MSI Z97S SLI Krait Edition
Samsung SH-224FB
Seagate Barracuda 7200.14 1TB
Sharkoon VG4-W Blue
R9 280x vapor x
Intel 520 series 120GB ssd
Will this run recent games and is it future proof?

Solution
if you want i7 like performance you could get an Intel XEON 1241v3 for a a little more money. Its a 3.5GHz CPU with hyper threading.
Overall your build looked fine to me. I would suggest a better case, if you spend the money right you can get a case that will be useful for many PC builds and upgrades.

A SeaSonic 650W 80+ Gold Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply

Or a XFX TS 750W 80+ Gold Certified ATX Power Supply

A good PSU is important and that one is not the greatest, I would go with a tier 1 or 2 unit on this list http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/id-2547993/psu-tier-list.html

Your system will work well but my only observation is the GPU is a little weak when compared to the CPU. If budget is a problem how about going to a non k 4690 with stock cooler and H97. Then use the money saved to get s better gpu. Another idea if you want to overclock is drop the ssd and use the money for a better gpu. You can add an SSD later.

I have a intel 520 series 120gb ssd
And a r9 280x vapor x made by saphire

Any sugestions?
