Hey, since my current pc is going for a check in next week, i've been preparing myself for the potential bad news from the check in.

Current build going for a check in due to issues i failed to fix:
-asrock xtreme 6 z77 ***
-asus rog strix factory oc 1080 ti
-i7 3770k stock ***
-16gb ddr3 4x4 1600 mhz ***
-corsair 780t graphite case ***
-noctua nh d9l cooler
-nox urano vx 750w powersupply ***

***Any of these components is being faulty and not allowing pc to boot (keeps restarting every few seconds)

So i'm somewhat mentalized for the worst outcome. If ram/cpu/mobo is the problem, i'll have to replace hardware and all of these would have to go unless i searched for old replacements that are in used condition, which is kinda risky and pointless to invest in, unless the cheapest solution but still risky nonetheless.

So my idea to replace these 3 components, if it comes to that, would be something like this:
-asrock b450m pro4 mobo (69,90€);
-amd ryzen 5 5600g (239,90€);
-2x16 gb corsair vengeance rgb pro ram, ddr4 3200 mhz, cl15 (157,50€).

My limit is 500€ max, doesn't mean i want to hit 500€ exactly, the less i spend the better. I don't plan on overclocking anything with this new stuff and my idea was to reuse everything else (Power supply, cooler, case, gpu, if they are in working condition). I've oc'd my 3770k a bit but usually brought it down to stock sometime later, I'm the kind of guy that fears shortening the lifespan of things from oc'ing. Also messed a bit with the gpu once but reverted to factory clock since it already had a factory OC. I was eyeing an I5-10400/11400/12400 initially, i can save some extra money if i went intel but the thing is, i noticed that the vega integrated graphics card is so much better than the one intel offers for gaming. This is a last case scenario if my gpu ends up dieing, the vega integrated unit is more reliable for games from what i have seen. And well the ryzen consumes less.energy than some of those intel cpus on heavy load, electricity is expensive in my country ( we are usually in the top 5 most expensive countries for electricity bills)

Was also planning to buy a wifi dongle, incase i want to rearrange my gaming room a bit. If people want to search for better options and suggest, i used a local online store in my country called pcdiga(.com), not sure if people from other regions would get different prices, maybe through vpn you could see the same prices as me? Idk. Country is portugal if people want to go through that extra step. The reason i say this is because 99% the time people recommend me stuff, the prices from one region to mine are different in absurd levels.

Problem with my current build, beware long posts: https://forums.tomshardware.com/thr...gin-on-windows-startup.3748255/#post-22600902

Most likely the culprit can be the PSU but that's specuation at this point since your platform is old and the board could very well be on it's way out, same can be said for the ram.

-asrock b450m pro4 mobo
Get a B550 chipset motherboard and pair it with a dual channel DDR4-3200MHz ram kit or DDR4-3600MHz if you can afford it.

I don't plan on overclocking anything with this new stuff
Getting the rams to operate at DDR4-3200MHz is above JEDEC specs, so you will be overclocking that.

Was also planning to buy a wifi dongle, incase i want to rearrange my gaming room a bit.
Keep things simple, get a motherboard with WiFI bundled with said board.

^ I wouldn't entrust the above upgrade with that PSU in your build. If you can, source a reliable unit, something from Corsair or Seasonic and call it a day.

I guess the power supply is really that bad? I just googled reviews after two people here warning me, and everyone points at it doing less wattage than described in the label. Sigh.

I've filtered the search in the store i'm buying with your psu suggestions and my limit, which one would you get considering the specs? (Ignore the ones in promo since they end today) https://www.pcdiga.com/#/embedded/q...&query_name=match_and&sort[0][best_price]=asc

What if i changed the ram to this: https://www.pcdiga.com/memoria-ram-...reta-cmk32gx4m2e3200c16?search=Ddr4 3200 2x16

It would cut the price down a little. Still dual channel 2x16 and ddr4-3200.

As for the mobo, another filtered search for asrock mobos:
https://www.pcdiga.com/#/embedded/q...&query_name=match_and&sort[0][best_price]=asc

Is the asrock b550m pro4 good enough?

Final prices rounded up, assuming ram change, b550 mobo and a 80€ psu:
240€ (cpu) +
146€ (ram) = 386€ +
96€ (mobo) = 482€ +
80€ (psu) = 562€

Yikes... I really don't want to downgrade the cpu, only the 10400 would make enough difference at the cost of some performance while maintaining a similar tdp. As for the ram, that's the cheapest corsair 2x16 with 3200 mhz. I could change brands and get cheaper but idk if i should do that. PSU is more or less going to be 70 or 80€. Last thing i could do is try and sell the old spare parts for cheap and try to lower the cost... And this is not even including potential help putting stuff together or having my old pc checked. I avoid building stuff myself because i have the tendency of messing up, and i would rather avoid damaging stuff due to lack of experience/awareness. At this rate i might aswell skip the check in and go straight for the upgrades to avoid wasting money...
