Is this a good computer build for Gaming?

I'm going to get a new computer for gaming. I did some research and found this. I edited the hardware to what I think is good and affordable. Here it is and I want your opinion if i should get this or should edit it or just get a different one. http://

Oh wow. $2,200 on an Alienware? You are paying for the brand there dude. I will go through this list, and try to get a substitute. I am sure others will beat me too it. But you will save SOOOO much by just building your own.

Been trying to figure out why it cost so much? It's an i5-6400 and GTX 960 2GB. I'm guessing the monitors and Windows?

If you want to spend $2,000, you can set aside $400 for the monitor, mouse, and keyboard, So that leaves you with $1600 for at least an i5-6600K + after market cooler, z170 motherboard, 8GB x2 (16GB) of ram, 750 watt PSU (Gold or Plat certified), GTX 1070 (maybe even a 1080), with a nice looking case. My job's proxy doesn't allow me to create lists on PcPartPIcker, but just view them. But if I had to get, what I mentioned abovee should fit in your budget.
