Is this a good CPU for a workstation?

Hi my name is Braulio im studing aeronautical engineering and i want to build myself a computer,
i want it to be a kind of Workstation.
I want to know if the Intel i7-5820K CPU is good for me.
Ive been thinking in choosing a xeon but i dont have the enough money to afford it.
Maybe you can recomend me another good processor not more expensive tan $400 USD.

PS The software i use is ANSYS, ADAMS, CATIA, NX and MATLAB
