I currently have a
r5 3600 (non x)
msi b550m pro vdh wifi the vrms on my current mobo are 6 phase 4+2, that board is 8+2 , I don't know anything about good features on a motherboard or how to decide if it's a good deal or not, I know the 5800x3d is a great cpu slouch I see that same cpu for less at other places like micro center or even Amazon but I don't think I would trust buying that off Amazon the cpu alone on newegg is $393 but it's $350at microcenter, I'm just inquiring as I do want to upgrade my cpu/motherboard I just stunt know how much performance I'll gain.

Full specs
R5 3600
B550m pro vdh wifi
32 gigs 3200 CL 16
Asus ko 3060ti
Case is a coolermaster masterbox m311b

Honestly for that money, skip that deal. From the ads I’ve been getting they are running a special, buy a ryzen 7700x or higher and they will give you a 32gb ddr5 memory kit free, and I think 20 bucks off a compatible board. Keep in mind as well, the price on the 7700x just dropped to to $349.

I’ve got a 5900x and don’t need to upgrade but at that price….. if I get Christmas money, I may be selling my cpu and upgrading my cpu etc.

i do not want to go to an am5 chip, you have to buy cpu/mobo/cooler, case ( cpus run 95 degres celcius) , the ram they give you isnt even mid tier
