Hi, I'm Desmond and I am planning to build my first desktop PC. I want to know if this list of parts will function properly (And well!) together.

Case: Corsair Obsidian Series Black 550D Mid Tower Computer Case

Video Card: EVGA GeForce GTX780 SuperClocked 3GB GDDR5

Processor: Intel Core i7-4770K Quad-Core

Motherboard: ASUS ATX DDR3 2600 LGA 1150 Motherboards Z97-C

Cpu Cooling: Corsair Hydro Series Extreme Performance Liquid CPU Cooler H100i

Hard Drive: Seagate Barracuda 1 TB HDD

SSD: Samsung Electronics 840 EVO-Series 120GB 2.5-Inch

Power Supply: Corsair Gaming Series 800-Watt

RAM: Corsair Vengeance 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 1600 MHz

I just want to confirm that all of the parts in this will fit properly together. If there is an easier way to figure these things out i'd love to hear it.

Cheers,

Solution
1. No need for i7 if only gaming, get the i5 4690k instead
2. No need for 16 GB RAM , I suggest this ram
3. I suggest the Z97 A for ~$20 more
4. Consider an AMD card: the R9 290 offers similar performance for considerably less

And finally, you can use PCPartPicker to check for compatibility and, if you live in one of the supported countries, pick parts there and usually get better deals

If your willing to put $1500+ into a computer this is a good build and fort the most part it should play almost every game on the highest settings , everything should fit just fine and work just fine. Also you can use http://pcpartpicker.com/ so select and choose your computer parts, see compatibility, and how much everything will cost
