I am a first time PC builder looking for some feedback about this PC that I am thinking of building in a few months. I originally looked a Cyberpowerpc to have them build it for me, but the many complaints and horror stories about them from this forum and others made me want to just build it myself. I've done some research and I think I came up with a pretty good build.

Suggestions about different parts would be great. This PC is going to last me a while and I'm going to upgrade it as time goes by so the i7 CPU and the 750w PSU are there for future upgrading. I am not sure if I will end up overclocking the CPU but it's nice to have the option.

Solution

Maybe go with an i7 4790K to go with the Z97 motherboard. Maybe also get a 780 if you have the budget

Solution

I was thinking about an i5. It will be a bit cheaper but it doesn't have hyperthreading and I think that it is a useful feature in the future.

@Aspire77360

I think I will go for the 4790. From what I can see, it's only about 10 dollars more than the 4770k. Thanks! I would like a gtx780, but sadly I'm pushing my budget with this build as of now.
