Is this a good gaming PC? Does it all work together? What else would I need?

That is not a very good build as cheaping out on the motherboard with a FX 8350 will be disastrous, you will not really need 16GB for gaming today, you dont need to get that good of a power supply, you could easily save money there as well.

Yes, my budget is around 1000. However, I need a compact case to fit on my desk.

What parts would you change out for my build?

Like the motherboard, what would you get instead? Power supply? Etc.

Whats the point of an 8350? It has 8 WEAK cores, it doesnt even have DDR4 RAM and hasn't been updated since 2012.

The i5 6500, has 4 Strong cores that will be able to run most games better than the FX 8350, Unless youre livestreaming or doing video editing, you don't want a FX 8350, trust me.

As for the Prodigy its your choice, I picked the Air 240 out for you because to me its a good choice, but if you like the prodigy more, fair play.

Btw the FX 8350 is not suited for compact builds as it has a 125W TDP which is nearly double the amount of the i5...

Okay. So do you think you could suggest a nice prodigy m build, with a blue color scheme? Not everything has to be blue, just blue or black.
