I would like to know if these specs can be good for a gaming pc. I am really new at this and i want to build a good gaming pc that is preferably better than the ps4 specs and will last me a few years without upgrading anything. Also, the link is here:

http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=7782889&sku=B69-1560

I am grateful for any additional info you guys could provide, for ex, how much will a pc cost minimally that will beat the ps4 or xbox720 specs and last about 1-3 years more with any new games on at least medium-high settings.

Solution
Hey, you could always start. 2 months ago, I didn't know a thing about computers. Now I'm a forum regular here. Buying my own build in 3 weeks, so I had to tweak to perfectness. Anyway, here's the final build, nothing changed.

Put one 7970, more than enough to max games. Managed to fit in SSD, monitor, and CPU cooler, and left $100 for mice and keyboard.

@spyguy001 Wow you are the nicest person I have ever met on Tom's, not sarcasm really you seem really nice, anyway a GPU is a graphics card, so taking away a graphics card and a graphics card would really slow your PC down :O the i5 3570k is a good processor but it's slower than the fx-6300 and the fx-8350, my friend just built this a few days ago, he gets 55/60fps in DayZ on the highest settings at 1080p.

I wouldn't get a HD7970 if I was you, you may as well get a HD7950 (I like the Gigabyte one because of the insane cooling) and overclock it a bit.

Building a PC is quite easy, cable management is time consuming but that's it really, just type "how to build a PC" into YouTube, loads of very helpful people.

Amazing! Wow, thanks guys. I thought that it would tear me apart trying to figure out the parts and assembling the thing! I am REALLY thankful for all the help. I will try my best to get back on here for additional information if you guys keep me updated! Although now, when i am really excited and impatient to tear into the system, it will be a paaaaaiiiin to wait 5-8 months for it! REALLY thankful, guys... really

That's a good budget build, but the i5 3570k is pretty much the best CPU out there right now. Plus the 7970 is better than the 7950 buy a lot, even if you OC it.

ballerslife and Samgriffiths, could you guys somehow mix both to make the best of both worlds rig? Thanks

@SamGriffiths
You call me nice and i genuinely thank you for it. Although, if you had met me in real life, you would think me polite but stuck up :). It wondrous how the internet takes away your inhibitions!

fx-4170 is bulldozer, the retarded cousin of the steamroller, it does depend what game you're playing, horses for courses.

I showed you the 6300. Moron. Please take the time to click the link. I used the 4170 as an example to show that clock speed doesn't matter. Please look at the link. It is an i5 and the 6300 compared. The i5 smokes it everywhere. By as much as 100% in some places.

Please do not give false information.

You seem angry, you should cool down a bit, I didn't check the link, I amused that it was, I amused wrong, note how I edited it before you even posted... That link is 90% not to do with games. http://cpuboss.com/cpus/Intel-Core-i5-3570K-vs-AMD-FX-6300, I was wrong about the fx-6300 but not the fx-8350, also the fx-6300 saves you money when you buy it and £30 every year on power.

You claim right here the 6300 is faster than the i5. This is very untrue. Per-core speed and power is what matters for gaming. Intel has always been better when it comes to that. I am not saying the 8350 is bad. Its a great CPU. The i5 does happen it barely edge it out in gaming performance but for the most part they are equal. The i5 is still better on a per-core basis though.

The i5-3570k beats the crap out of a 6300 any day of the week, the two arent even comparable...
An i5-3570k will beat the crap out of an 8350 too in gaming...
That i7 I posted is a beast too!

I personally think that the i5 is the one for me. If you start with the 8000's, they are comparable to the i7 and costly too. Still, i am really grateful for the given rigs. I am also uninformed about these things. If the amd 8000's are as good or better than the i5's andi7's and if the cost is relatively the same, please recommend it.

@manofkryptonak
The link is a cart. Nothing there. I would appreciate the originals. Thanks

And that build supports up to two graphics cards, I would recommend the 7870 le $240
Windows 7 pro for 139 if you can get as a student it should be 70 bucks, then you could get two 7870 le and kick tons of but for years in gaming.

Your, then is the best so far. I am kinda confused with the specification format tho. I would like it a bit more organized with links if you can provide them. Thanks for the amazing help. Best answer till now. Thanks
