Is this a good gaming rig, nice for the next few years?

I would like to know if these specs can be good for a gaming pc. I am really new at this and i want to build a good gaming pc that is preferably better than the ps4 specs and will last me a few years without upgrading anything. Also, the link is here:

I am grateful for any additional info you guys could provide, for ex, how much will a pc cost minimally that will beat the ps4 or xbox720 specs and last about 1-3 years more with any new games on at least medium-high settings.

Hey, you could always start. 2 months ago, I didn't know a thing about computers. Now I'm a forum regular here. Buying my own build in 3 weeks, so I had to tweak to perfectness. Anyway, here's the final build, nothing changed.

Ah well, we'll see about that later. But at least i know that the more expensive parts are working and if i have to RMA something, it might be something thats not all that important to the system running at all.

I wonder though, will i get a POST beep if i connect a speaker to the back of the I/O? Or do i have to connect it straight to the mobo switch?

yea im in the same boat i have three Asus VE247H 23.6" Monitor and was thinking of picking up a r9 290 .for Eyefinity and get another in a couple months

but there no telling when AMD will let manufacturers sell aftermarket cards

it be cheaper to wait for a non reference 290 or 290x becuase a waterblock is at least $100 plus the pump and rad and res. if you already had a watercooling setup this would work but it not worth it. as the flashing you taking a big gamble of bricking a $400 card unless you know certain you got a unlockable card.

Edit: Didn't see the Air cooler.

But... But... Eyefinity's better than surround! Ah, the main reason for buying a 290 is for the $100 less price!

Anyways, yes, the build is alive from what i was able to tell, i'll see more about it after i get the GPU... Bloody GPU...

Sooner you buy better chance get bios flas able card. But sure BF 4 is kicker for now.
Get card + game. With GTX they give 3 games?

But sure is it really woth waiting? That you must figure out self. :)
Then just buy water block andpump 00 rad+ couple fans. How hard is that?

I know that they give good games with the GTX cards but i really can't afford them much now, can i? Taxes rocket the price to up to $600 easily. And i know, i saw the bios flash thing. I could be one of the lucky ones but its unlikely.

Well, yeah, i hope that i get the build working too. Its gonna be amazing in the winter holidays to play on the rig!

Can't really get a rad if i cant get a 780 at that price!

Besides, i vote for a vote.
Who thinks that i should buy the card tomorrow?

Edit: Honestly, i'm leaning toward getting it now because i am just very tired of waiting for AMD's AIB's and there is no official word yet about when they will be coming out either. The BF4 just makes it more pleasant. I'm in a hot debate of whether that extra cooling and OC potential is worth the wait or not. I'll just give AMD the finger if they release it a day after i buy or something. God!
