I have a budget of about $850 but I would like to know if this build will get a decent framerate at ultra settings on the latest games and if it will last me a while?

Here's what I've came up with. Suggestions?

Yes, it's the question of what is the cheapest for him, both are good ram, i pointed out the samsung cause i thought i was the cheapest good ram 1600, and it has lower voltage for overclock(but yes if he doesn't know how, but it's easy to do in the uefi bios).
If the patriot is cheapest get it, you'll not miss much as jonjonjon said.
And good luck with your build.

That's a micro atx board I think it'll fit in a atx mid-tower case like the one you've chosen but I'm not 100% sure. But that board doesn't support sli so if you ever want to run dual graphics cards then you'll need to get another motherboard.

Looks good. Everything is compatible and will give you amazing gaming performance. Also, I wouldn't worry about SLI. If you ever feel the need to upgrade, I would just sell my original card and then upgrade to a single, powerful card. Futhermore, if you want to do SLI, you'll have to upgrade your motherboard and your PSU. This is going to cost more money than it's worth.

For your cpu a h77 or z75 is fine, why look for a z77 if you don't have the i5-3570k nor you wan't to overclock, that is the difference.
Unless you plan to do a sli setup of 660 ti, but it's not recommended anyway, it's better to have a single card, and then when the time comes and you see that the card isn't holding up, buy a newer generation for the same price.
Like i said you're go to go with the z75 and the patriot ram.

the only things that differ between the z75 and z77 are the z75 doesn't have is SRT for ssd caching(useless) and it can only have 2 PCI-e 3.0 lanes in 8x/8x(how many people need 3 PCI-e 3.0 lanes). so there is very little difference between the z75 and z77.
