Why Razer? There are alot of keyboards out there.

What kb you want? For membrane types of kb. I say get the logitech g510s. I say it is a good kb. I owned it (g510) and it is worth the money than a razer. And there are also other keyboards from logitech like g110s.

If you want mechanical (expensive but better than membrane). Buy from CM Storm. They have different kinds of switches. And they have also different design. Like tenkeyless or full with backlight or not.

its a backlit keyboard and the reviews state that with backlighting off the keys can be hard to read but when on its fine. as far as quality.. should be similar to most other rubber dome keyboards.

personally i also like logitech products but they might be out of your budget unless you wanted to use one of the multimedia keyboards instead of a gaming keyboard.

as far as a mouse is concerned i prefer the razer deathadder but the corsair gaming mice and similar or logitech gaming mice are good alternatives. i've seen the original razers going for about $35 at the cheapest online but it might be too much for your budget (you didnt tell us what the $ was) and there are other cheaper solutions out there.

i would browse around and find what looks appealing ... then read reviews. take note of the very low scores (what issues did they have?), how many positives to negatives (% rate) and what pro/con people seem to be giving the product.

Razer = APPLE of Peripherals.

If you will learn alot of people complain becoz of razer's cheap quality. I got a friend who has a Razer Kraken. It lasted only for 6 months. Then He had alot of troubles because of warranty of his headset.

Logitech has better quality with a good customer support.

typically i agree... however the deathadder was one of the products they actually got right.

logitech isnt exactly a do-it-all-right company either as they've made some errors over the years as well. in general though i do agree its hard to go wrong with logitech.

I can support this claim, although Razer does have a few good products, some mice, and the Black Widow. Their quality control is just terrible though.

I would recommend a Corsair Vengeance K70.

The ones ive tried on razer peripherals was a Deathadder, Taipan and blackwidow.

The Deathadder was the best mouse ive seen from razer. I thinks its the best quality from them.

The Taipan was not good for me. Because it is not comfy. And i think is kinda small for me. My Steelseries Xai MOH Edition was MUCH MUCH Better.

The blackwidow ultimate was a 50/50 for me. It is good matte finish. But all of the ports, audio i/o was pass through. And its fockin heavy  but there are some cheap mechanical kbd from CM Storm.

For you is not. But for me. it is. xD

Its my friend who owns it. but when i help him to move his pc because he was fixing his room.
I was SUPRISED of the weight of it than a normal Mechanical Keyboard. But it was a good try for it. xD

I have a TTEsports Meka G-unit and it is really amazing, and if you aren't a fan of cherry black there is a cherry red option. They are minimally backlit so you know where your fingers are but it doesn't distract you at night, but if you are getting a nice keyboard you want to pay a good price for it so you get a mechanical with a high build quality that will last years, instead of a great deal on a nice looking membrane keyboard. I had a Cyborg V7 and while it looked nice and really was, it just didn't last that long, and now that I have a mechanical there is just a huge difference between it and even a really expensive membrane KB.
