Z-series is for overclocking and DDR4 2666 is not overclocked and non-K-series Intel CPUs can't overclock anyway. If you get a Z-series motherboard you should get faster RAM (faster than DDR4 2666) and/or a K-series CPU. Otherwise, an H or B-series motherboard would do just as well.

I'd get the 2TB Barracuda instead of the 1TB.

either get a unlocked CPU or a non Z motherboard.only get a K chip if you going to overclock on future
and if you not getting a unlocked CPU or wouldnt be overclocking you dont really need a aftermarket cooler

Ram at 2400mhz is just fine for intel build.

You can get those parts cheaper online. But if you already bought them at Best Buy, they you're probably already putting them together and possibly already using them, which counts for something in my opinion. Getting to use the parts now instead of waiting a few days is worth something.

If you haven't already bought them, check out this build for under $1,700.
