Is this a good PSU

I got to get a new PSU. I do not have enough money for a PSU that is over to far over $50.00 I have right now a 250watt PSU and the computer some days is being very slow. so I was looking at a Cooler Master eXtreme Power Plus Supply that is 500watt. Is this a good PSU?

Computer I have is a HP P6720f Ram is 10GB 2 HDD's and one DVD drive all are on STAT cables. I am wanting to get away from the onboard graphcis chip and get a better one later on.

NO! Coolermaster sells near-junk PSUs, especially at the low end. On a budget, Antec generally has decent offerings, such as the 450W VP-450 and the 380W Earthwatts EA-380D. Either of those can power a rig with ANY graphics card that has only one PCIe power connection.

To add to the question I got to find a PSU that is close to these Dimensions 5.9 x 5.5 x 3.4 inches. I was looking at that one Antec VP-450 but its dimensions seem to big for my tower.

Hi - Onus nailed it. I pulled a CM PSU outs my machine b4 it was 2 month's
old, based on the reviews and folks on the forum here. I even had
to wait a couple month's longer for my GPU as a result, and have no regrets.

The Antec PSU ( or almost any other for that matter) should fit without issue.
The ht & width of ATX PSU's is Std, deviations would by negligible. The only
dimension where the mfg can alter is the length. Your tower is 7" wide, and ht
isn't an issue. The length of your tower is 16.3", that is a little on the short
side, but you should still be able to fit a Std ATX PSU in.
