I'm a newb at this kind of stuff.

I will be using
AMD - Ryzen 5 1600 3.2GHz 6-Core Processor
Asus - STRIX B350-F GAMING ATX AM4 Motherboard
Crucial - Ballistix Sport LT 8GB (1 x 8GB) DDR4-2666 Memory
Gigabyte - GeForce GTX 1050 Ti 4GB Video Card
Asus - DRW-24B1ST/BLK/B/AS DVD/CD Writer

I also would like some input on a good SSD about 250gb and a case.

Rosewill Valens Series 600W Gaming Power Supply, 80 PLUS Gold Certified, Single +12V Rail, Intel 4th Gen CPU Ready, SLI & Crossfire Ready - Valens-600

Solution
That PSU... Valens are made by ANTG , I would stay away... Most Rosewill are very poor, Valens is poor.

Stay with well know brands (but also be carefull here since they also can make junk)

Safebets for your build are if you ask me:

EVGA G2 series.
Corsair RMx series.
Seasonic G series.

And no need to go above "Gold" rated PSU`s
Seems like that PSU is more than good enough even for future upgrades.
I'm running an i7 4790K with GTX 1070 + 16GB RAM on a 550W Bronze PSU without any issues.
Rosewill is a decent PSU brand when it comes to certified power supplies.

I just a complete newb at this, don't know left from right. any particular specific models and will a 520W work fine, I would also like some tip on a ssd 250gb, please.

samsung 860, or 850 cant go wrong. Get an m.2 version

520w will work no issue if it is quality unit like the antec HCG, or a seasonic unit

go 550w for future gpu upgrading
