My 4460 really isn't cutting it for games like BF1 and GTA, so I thought upgrading that CPU would help. Also, that motherboard doesn't look very good in my build, as I switched from a black/blue to a white/black, (I care a lot about my PC's aesthetics). The other issue is that my Kraken X61 pump is failing, and I really don't wanna deal with the RMA process.

4460 isn't all that old, and is still a great CPU. If you're itching for an upgrade, don't get a Kaby Lake i5, since the performance improvement won't be very noticeable. If I were you I'd pick up a Haswell i7 off of eBay, something like a 4790.

Is a Haswell i7 better than an i5? Also, the features that come with the Z170 and Z270 mobos are pretty cool.

i7s feature Hyperthreading, which some games utilize. It would help on BF1.

As a side note, have you tried to set BF1's priority to High? I had a stuttering issue with my PC until I have done that.
