Lot of money for a very very very small performance increase. I recently "downgraded" from an ivy bridge i7 to a haswell refresh i5. I have not seen a difference. None. Here are my current specs:

16gb of mushkin silverline
240gb pny ssd
asus z97-m plus mobo
Seagate 'cuda 1TB
PNY GTX 780 3gb reference
Fractal Node 804 with stock fans
Phanteks PH-TC12DX with 1 prolimatech 140mm slim vortex fan

If you need it mostly for gaming then the upgrade is not worth it, your current CPU shouldn't be bottlenecking in games, you should wait for Intel to release Skylake series chips.

Save you money. This upgrade is not worth it. The processor and RAM upgrade (and maybe motherboard, if needed for the new cpu/ram) is only useful if you do alot of video/image editing/rendering. The monitor/case/coolers is up to you, but I don't see any advantage upgrading. I'd wait for the intel skylake series to even think about changing the processor, as the 4xxxK series are still pretty amazing and a great cost/benefit.

I would only consider the upgrade worthwhile if you're planning more intensive workloads. Your current build is perfect for 1440p gaming and the 4670k is still a beast! Low level API's are just round the corner too so you'll be able to squeeze some more life out of it.
