Is this a PWM fan?

Solution
The paranoid among us would say your confusion may be by design from the promotional info. What it REALLY means is that this is a 3-pin fan (Voltage Control Mode, aka DC Mode control only) that comes with an adapter so that, instead of plugging into a mobo fan header, you can connect it to a PSU 4-pin Molex power output. That latter option would get you NO ability to control fan speed, but it can be useful if you don't have a mobo header to use and want a full-speed fan. For use with your mobo's headers, look in its manual for details of the SYS_FAN or CHA_FAN headers. If it says those headers can be configured either for Voltage or DC mode OR for PWM mode, OR if the headers have only 3 pins, it can probably work for you. If you can't...
