What does "real deal" mean to you?
Will it increase WIFI speed? Maybe/maybe not.
Will it increase distance to the router? Possibly.
Many times high power is the default.

The default is already "highest". If you're looking for magic this isn't the place to be looking. The maximum xmit power is dictated by the FCC and virtually all products already xmit at that max.
