Hello,

I've been messing around with my ram trying to get the speed higher since I have a Ryzen 5 1600, and I want to know if this voltage is safe for my RAM.

I have the HX421C14FBK2/16 set of ram and a X370 MSI Gaming Plus motherboard. Its currently running at 3066mHz with CL16 latency at 1.36V. Is this a safe long-term overclock or is this RAM not designed to be overclocked?

Thanks.

Ram is designed to be pushed. I have a 16 GB 3600 MHz kit from corsair Overclocked to 4000 at 1.4 V. It’s the same as CPU overclocking. If the temperatures are fine and there’s enough airflow. You’ll be fine

DDR4 spec requires that all RAM chips be able to operate at up to 1.5V, which would only be something I'd do in an extreme case. For 24/7 overclocks 1.4V is generally the top I'd go with so I'd have to say yours is safe at 1.36. That also seems about right for the 3000-3200 range.
