Is this a safe temperature for my GPU?

Alright so I recently got into bitcoin mining, and is it safe for my GPU to be running at 90C with fan speed at 100 while mining? Like is that too high? I have a fxf 280x black double dissipation edition

Solution
Hi,
bitcoin miner setup or not, the temp is just about to high.
Now, how to solve this?

First: Intel I7 - 920 should be fine as long its temp is below 70degr C
But I dont' expect the cores will be used at all and therefore the CPU case temp will be very low.

Second: Your xfx 280x black double dissipation edition (3gb)
will require less than 175W

So in total Your whole rig or computer will not in any way consume more than 225W
A 400W Power supply will do just fine, and even that is a little bit overdue.

Now, Yore are saying that the graphics card is overheated?
Well get a better chassis unless you have cruiser problems?
You need a better air flow through the chassis.
Best regards from Sweden

Hi,
What type of rig do You have?
GPU- manufacturer and model?
CPU- manufacturer and model
Chassi - manufacturer and model?
Temperatures for all of them?

90C degrees is way to high. I seems to me that You do not have perfect ventilation through Your chassi.

Best regards from Sweden

Im literally running it from my regular PC, I have an i7-920, xfx 280x black double dissipation edition (3gb) and my case is just some Dell case. Its not really a bitcoin miner setup. At the moment CPU is 66C, Mobo 51C, GPU 80C.

I have a 750w power supply so im good, but yeah I need better airflow, I had a feeling that its way too high of temp, the CPU stays at a good temp, just the GPU stays at 85-95C which is good for like a couple minutes but will probably break your GPU or melt it... But yeah thanks, ill probably end up upgrading in the future, currently building a new gaming PC that will have way better air flow, might be a lot better towards mining. Thanks for everything
