System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming, CAD software (low second), miscellaneous (surfing, MS word, excel, etc.)

Are you buying a monitor: No (not in this package, will be purchasing a new one later)

Parts to Upgrade: New build, I plan on putting everything together myself. I have not done something like this in over 15 years, so I want it to be a somewhat forgiving process.

Do you need to buy OS: Yes

Overclocking: Maybe (I plan on overclocking when I need to get better performance)

SLI or Crossfire: Maybe (If I need to get extra performance later on, I would consider it)

Additional Comments:
-I would like to keep everything cool primarily, then prevent dust ingress, run quiet and look presentable.
-I play mostly MMO's, SWTOR but plan on playing WildStar and potentially any MMO that comes out later (have played GW2, Planetside2 and a few others recently).
-I would like this to be the last system I buy for a long time, and would like to do minimal upgrades in the future before replacement. My budget is somewhat flexible, but I want good life cycle costs, and I want to stick with brands that I trust and have used (Have used Asus and Crucial in the past with no issues, heard good things about Corsair, knowing they are more pricy).
-I am trying to decide if there is any value in the i7 4770K vs the i5 4670K for a long life system, and should I be considering the ASUS Z87 Pro or another MB given what I am trying to do with it?
-Storage isn't an issue unless someone has a good argument for it, I only use about 170 of 240 GB on my current machine with a bunch of crap I don't need. I plan on getting an external storage device at a later date and am planning on keeping my existing laptop.

And Most Importantly, Why Are You Upgrading: I curently run a laptop for gaming, and have for about 3 years, it isn't able to keep good resolutions and deal with lots of activity without lagging and overheating.

Automatically checks compatibility. This looks compatible to me and is a really good and powerful build. Your motherboard and CPU are fine. There is a vast improvement from the 4770k and the 4670k. It should run every game over 60fps smoothly on high res without overheating.

Thanks for pointing me to pcpartpicker, I thought it was a US thing and wasn't thinking of it as a solution. After checking everything out there I have a few better options for getting the best sales, and I figured I can save approximately $200 off the total price bringing it down to around $1900.

Can you post the link here? The ASUS Sabertooth isn't really the best for that price. Look into some ASUS Maximus boards like the IV Hero.

And with your saved money get the 780 ti. That is the best card out right now.

I was hoping to get all the parts from NCIX, and it sounds like they price match, so I will probably go down that road so I can get everything from one place.

Will the 780 ti out perform the 780 OC when it is overclocked? I remember reading somewhere (can't remember where) that it overclocks quite well. I am assuming I won't notice any difference at this point in time, but will in the future as games become more demanding.

If the ti is that much better barring overclocking, it is something I will need to look into. I just need to rationalize the extra few $ saved into the better card. I really appreciate the advice.

Yes the 780 ti will do fine in overclocking and already has a really high clock rate.

Look into some modular psus because they reduce the hassle of finding a place to put wires.

I had thought that the one I had linked originally was a modular PSU, but I am seeing it labelled as a semi-modular PSU on pcpartpicker. Any comments on that?
