Is this Asus good for animation programs?

Hello there!
Well, I was looking for a nice computer that can run Zbrush, Maya, Photoshop, Sony Vegas, After FX, etc..., and I found this Asus, but I'm not sure if it's fit for the job.

Asus N56V:
-Core i7 2.4 (or 2.6, I can't remember) GHZ.
-8GB RAM.
-1 TB.
-Screen 15.6"
-Windows 8

I'm so dumb at this stuff, so I'm not sure if buying this is a smart choice, what do you guys think?

If going with a laptop for the work, yep this is a good one, would strongly suggest maxing the DRAM (16GB), many of your apps are memory hungry
